High kVp technique (kilovoltage peak technique)
High kVp (kilovoltage peak) technique में X-ray beam की penetrating power अधिक होती है, जिससे dense structures भी आसानी से image में दिखाई देती हैं।
Key Points:
High kVp → More penetration, less image contrast
Useful for:
Chest X-ray – to visualize air-filled lungs with low contrast
Abdomen radiography – where multiple tissue densities overlap
Bariatric patients – for better penetration of thicker tissues
Radiation Safety:
High kVp technique को अक्सर low mAs के साथ use किया जाता है ताकि:
Patient dose कम हो
